St Michaels Way shell pendant – a polished Cornish tin scallop shell on antique sterling silver chain.

The scallop shell symbolizes the pilgrim's journey to Santiago de Compostela in Spain, marked by the Saint Michael’s Way. This path runs from St Uny Church in Lelant to St Michael’s Mount near Penzance, Cornwall. It offered a safer route for Irish, Welsh, and Cornish pilgrims to avoid rough seas and visit the significant shrine at St Michael’s Mount before heading to Spain.
